Captain Dapo Olumide

 Former Managing Director of now defunct Virgin Nigeria and Chief Executive of Ropeways Transport Limited, Captain 'Dapo Olumide is set to launch the first cable car system in Nigeria by 2015.

Speaking at a news and current affairs programme, he said the cable car would run around on 3 routes around the Adeniyi Adele axis of Lagos Island.

He identified the routes to be covered in the first phase of the project as  Ijora – Iddo, Iddo – Adeniji, Apapa – Oluwole, Oluwole – Adeniji, Adeniji – Obalende, Obalende – Falomo, and Falomo – Victoria Island

Very good dream for Lagos but one question need be asked..."what would power the cable cars, this same PHCN?"

Imagine power outage in one of this...in the middle of nowhere
